Senior Software Engineer (A2P Messaging/ Agentic Engineering)

DNA Technology is building a new greenfield high-volume messaging platform replacing a business-critical wholesale messaging system for a US telecom operator. The platform processes around 1 million messages daily and supports approximately 175 customers and 120 suppliers.

• Experience with telecom, messaging, CPaaS, or carrier platforms.
• Knowledge of A2P/SMS, including SMPP, routing, DLRs, CDRs, rating, or wholesale messaging.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Experience using AI across the full SDLC, including requirements refinement, development planning, architecture, implementation, testing, code review, and deployment.
• Ability to orchestrate and supervise AI agents.
• Proven ownership of problems end to end beyond narrowly specified tickets.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and convert partial requirements and constraints into working software.
• Ability to work quickly without lowering engineering standards.
• Professional level of English (C1).

• Own meaningful functionality end to end, from problem understanding through deployment and production readiness.
• Work across APIs, application services, PostgreSQL, and asynchronous or event-driven processing.
• Use AI coding agents throughout development for exploration, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Build observability, testing, and failure handling into the solution.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, SREs, and architects on technical decisions and production behavior.
• Contribute to modular architecture enabling parallel work by engineers and AI tools.
• Support the platform through production readiness, migration, and operation.
