Senior Data Engineer (Middle East / Poland / Snowflake)

• 7+ years of overall data engineering experience, including at least 3+ years hands-on with Snowflake and associated data engineering technologies.
• Experience delivering data engineering solutions in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments.
• Practical experience with Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Snowpipe Streaming, dbt, Iceberg tables, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data pipelines, transformations, and curated datasets.
• In-depth understanding of data quality, reconciliation, monitoring, performance, and operational supportability in production environments.
• Structured approach to technical documentation, including runbooks and technical artifacts for sustainable operations and knowledge transfer.

Nice to have:

• Experience across enterprise-scale unified data platforms and complex source-system landscapes.
• Familiarity with data governance principles such as data ownership, classification, metadata, lineage, and access controls.
• Experience supporting production deployment, stabilization, and performance tuning.
• Collaborative experience with architecture, governance, and cross-functional teams on large transformation programs.

• Design, configure, and implement Snowflake data engineering components, including Tasks, Streams, Snowpipe Streaming, dbt Projects, and Iceberg tables.
• Deliver source-to-target mappings and reliable ingestion pipelines from source systems into the unified data platform.
• Develop curated data models incorporating data quality checks, reconciliation logic, and monitoring.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks covering data lineage, dependencies, operational procedures, and ongoing support.
• Coordinate with governance and architecture teams on ownership, classification, access controls, metadata, deployment, stabilization, performance tuning, and knowledge transfer.

*Candidates must be based in Poland and willing to relocate to the Middle East for the duration of the one-year project.
