AI Code Modernization Engineer

ITFS offers a stable market position and work on an interesting and developmental project involving AI-assisted code modernization.

• Minimum 2 completed practical projects involving code translation, refactoring, or modernization using AI.
• Experience with large or complex enterprise systems; core banking experience is a plus.
• Very good knowledge of at least one source and target programming language used in projects.
• Practical knowledge of LLM, AI-assisted software engineering, and AI tools supporting code work.
• Experience in refactoring, dependency analysis, and regression testing.
• Ability to assess whether transformations preserve business logic and original code functionality.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently and work with existing code.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.

• Analyze existing source code and its dependencies.
• Translate, refactor, and modernize code using AI tools.
• Work with legacy code and both source and target technologies.
• Prepare and improve workflows utilizing LLM / AI coding tools.
• Verify correctness, quality, and functional compliance of generated or migrated code.
• Create and execute regression and comparative tests.
• Identify errors, limitations, and cases requiring manual intervention.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and domain experts during transformation.
