Senior Java Engineer / Full Stack

Motorola Solutions Systems Polska is hiring for a senior software engineering role in Kraków, Poland, focused on backend and full stack development. The position involves working on high-performing software engineered products with a focus on backend implementation and architecture improvements.

• 5+ years of hands-on backend software development with in-depth knowledge of core Java/JDK.
• Experience developing REST APIs using JAX-RS, Spring, or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and core software engineering principles.
• Experience designing and implementing high-performance, multithreaded, state-driven systems.
• Proficiency in creating meaningful automated tests using JUnit and applying advanced testing and debugging techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (preferring Postgres) and ORM technologies such as Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Communicative English proficiency.

Nice to have:

• 2+ years of experience with Angular or similar modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with E2E testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Mentorship, coaching, or leadership experience or aptitude.

• Design and implement clean, modular, scalable, and testable code for the Java backend.
• Conduct performance analysis and profiling for backend systems and databases to ensure scalability and high performance.
• Apply advanced testing and debugging methods to resolve complex software issues.
• Work collaboratively with local and distributed teams in an Agile environment to continuously enhance product functionality.
