QA Engineer

Nasdaq is a company involved in financial services, focusing on regulatory reporting used by financial institutions and regulators worldwide. The position is located in Wrocław, Poland, with a hybrid work environment offering at least 3 days a week in-office.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience in software quality assurance and testing of complex applications.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, defect management, and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong SQL skills and proven ability to validate data-intensive applications and large datasets.
• Practical experience using enterprise-approved AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot to support testing, analysis, or documentation, with the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated content.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in regulatory reporting, banking, capital markets, fintech, or regulated financial services.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, API testing, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience mentoring QA colleagues or leading quality improvement initiatives.

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on business, technical, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Validate complex financial reports, taxonomy-driven configurations, data structures, calculations, and system integrations.
• Use SQL, Excel, XML, and other data analysis techniques to verify large and complex datasets.
• Apply AI-powered tools responsibly to support test case generation, defect investigation, documentation, and productivity while validating all AI-generated output.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product, and DevOps teams across time zones to deliver high-quality solutions to international clients.
