Senior Databricks Engineer

For our fast‑growing Cloud & Engineering practice in Central Europe we are looking for Databricks Data Engineers to join our team. The candidate will be part of a larger team with various experience levels, responsible for delivering a new data platform.

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Advanced knowledge of PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Knowledge of ETL tools.
• Experience working with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing, and modern software engineering practices.
• Ability to read code and understand ETL processes.
• Experience with batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Good communication in English.
• Team player with leadership capabilities.
• EU work permit.

• Build a highly scalable and secure data platform replacing existing Data Warehouse and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including high-volume streaming data.
• Perform business and functional analysis.
• Design platform architecture and data models.
• Implement platform and ELT processes.
• Conduct data migration and testing.
• Support and extend existing data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Transfer data from data warehouse and SQL databases to Databricks.
• Design and implement Bronze / Silver / Gold data layers.
• Resolve challenges related to replication and permission constraints.
• Work with CDC (Change Data Capture) integration patterns.
• Support and optimize Databricks data models and transformations.

Candidate must have an EU work permit.
