Senior Azure Data Engineer

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Practical experience with Databricks.
• Advanced knowledge of Python.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL.
• Good understanding of modern data platforms and Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience with Medallion Architecture.
• Experience in dimensional modelling for reporting and analytics.
• Very good data modeling skills.
• Experience with DataOps and software engineering practices (version control, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, incident management).
• Experience applying SRE practices.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Experience working in distributed, international teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Experience in data governance, data lineage, and access control in Databricks.
• Experience working with payments or transactional data.

• Responsible for production data pipelines.
• Designing, building, deploying, and maintaining data pipelines and analytical data products.
• Applying DataOps and software engineering practices including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and incident management.
• Practicing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and continuous improvement of operational processes.
• Understanding data domains and business goals before making architectural and development decisions.
• Collaboration between Data, Architecture, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Autonomous work, taking responsibility, making technical decisions, and documenting them clearly.
