Senior Data Center Engineer

Devire IT Outsourcing is a B2B model IT staffing service delivering projects for clients within innovative and modern enterprises. The client operates in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system engineering or data center operations.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise data center environments.
• Strong administration skills in VMware vSphere including problem-solving and lifecycle management.
• Practical experience managing enterprise Dell infrastructure including PowerEdge servers, storage platforms, PowerScale, Data Domain, Avamar, and Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Proficient knowledge of server technologies, virtualization, storage (including SAN and NAS), and backup.
• Experience administering Windows Server and infrastructure services.
• Working knowledge of backup and data recovery processes in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with PowerShell.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring platforms such as Zabbix.
• Knowledge of IT security patching, vulnerability removal, and infrastructure hardening.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Very good communication skills in Polish and English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Stack HCI (Azure Local).
• Experience with Dell OpenManage Enterprise and iDRAC administration.
• Experience testing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity procedures.
• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Dell Technologies Proven Professional, Microsoft, and Veeam certifications.

• Administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise data center infrastructure.
• Management and troubleshooting of VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, lifecycle management, patching, updates, and migrations.
• Operation and support of Dell enterprise infrastructure platforms including servers, storage, and data protection solutions.
• Monitoring infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity using enterprise-class monitoring platforms such as Zabbix.
• Incident resolution, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
• Management of backup, data recovery, and disaster recovery processes including validation and testing.
• Deployment of software, firmware, OS, and security updates across infrastructure components.
• Support for Windows Server environments and core infrastructure services.
• Automation of operational tasks and reporting using PowerShell.
• Maintenance of technical documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.
• Participation in infrastructure modernization, migration projects, and capacity planning.
• Collaboration with internal teams, external vendors, and technical partners.
• Support for security, compliance, and audit activities.
• Enforcement of security policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
