Mid Cybersecurity Engineer - CSIRT

Allegro is a leading technology company with cybersecurity teams based in Warsaw, Poznań and Toruń. The role involves safeguarding a high-scale platform supporting thousands of requests per minute within a cloud and on-prem environment using advanced security tools and AI-based incident response.

• Experience working in SOC, CERT, or CSIRT teams.
• Proficiency with SOAR, EDR/XDR, and SIEM systems.
• Knowledge of current offensive and defensive security threats.
• Hands-on experience with modern, large-scale IT infrastructure and DevOps culture.
• Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), Windows, and MacOS systems.
• Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining security-enhancing solutions.
• Participation in handling security incidents.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across organizational levels.
• High independence and self-driven approach to incident response from investigation to remediation.
• Interest in leveraging automation and AI-assisted techniques for incident response and defensive innovation.
• Openness to developing soft skills and growth mindset through team retrospectives and collaborations.
• Excitement about adopting and securing AI technologies including AI coding and security assistants.
• Desire to continuously update knowledge in a shifting threat landscape.
• English language proficiency at least at B2 level.

• Monitor and triage security incidents from EDR/XDR, SIEM, and other detection platforms in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Investigate and respond to endpoint and server threats on corporate workstations and servers.
• Analyze and mitigate phishing campaigns targeting company brands, including takedown coordination and IOC enrichment.
• Detect and respond to network-layer attacks such as DDoS, password spraying, and bot scanning.
• Perform digital forensics and log correlation from multiple data sources to reconstruct attack timelines.
• Enrich and correlate Indicators of Compromise using threat intelligence platforms and asset inventories.
• Investigate identity-related risks including account takeovers and anomalous user behavior.
• Document findings with evidence-based incident reports including MITRE ATT&CK mapping and remediation recommendations.
• Coordinate remediation actions with IT, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Continuously improve detection capabilities by tuning correlation rules and updating threat intelligence.
• Collaborate with brand protection and external partners to defend Allegro's reputation and customers.
