Embedded Systems Software Architect & Lead Engineer

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in software architecture development.
• Experience with AUTOSAR architecture and third-party software stacks: MICROSAR, MCAL, HSM.
• Experience with memory management and diagnostic stacks.
• Mandatory experience in Flash Bootloader development and integration, preferably with Vector Bootloaders.
• Experience with Vector-based analysis and development tools: DaVinci Configurator, DaVinci Developer, CANoe, CANape.
• Experience with cross-compilers and cross-assemblers.
• Experience with 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers from Renesas and Infineon.
• Experience with embedded microcontrollers and common peripherals.
• Experience with formal configuration management tools.
• Strong understanding of software development techniques and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of CAN, UART, SPI, GPIOs, Timers, Watchdog, and Interrupt handling.
• Understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with MISRA standards and verification tools.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, FlexRay.
• Familiarity with CAN network analysis tools.
• Familiarity with maturity models such as A-SPICE and/or CMMI is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with static analysis tools such as QAC and Polyspace is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with software safety mechanisms such as Memory Protection Units (MPU) and watchdogs is highly desirable.
• Good English language skills (B2).

• Lead software architecture planning, design, and implementation for Electronic Power Steering, Steer-by-Wire systems, and Software as a Product projects.
• Analyze customer, system, and safety requirements to derive software project requirements.
• Design and implement embedded software using C complying with ISO 26262.
• Develop software architecture and integrate components into AUTOSAR-based projects.
• Implement software infrastructure as designed by the Software Architecture Team.
• Develop documentation compliant with Automotive SPICE.
• Maintain requirements traceability in software development.
• Interface with global cross-functional teams to understand requirements and review designs.
• Interface directly with OEMs to understand and influence design affecting software.
• Participate in and lead design reviews and software process development activities.
• Review technical references and data sheets for system microcontrollers.
• Maintain awareness of product quality impact and participate in IATF 16949 standards maintenance.
• Select and develop product designs to meet customer specifications.
• Provide preventive and corrective actions.
• Participate in customer meetings.
• Develop and unit-test embedded code.

Key Authorities:

• Create, review, and baseline software architecture.
• Interact across Application (APP), Bootloader (FBL), Boot Manager (FBM), Hardware Security Module (HSM), and Boot Updater (FBU) definitions.
• Develop source code for Application, HSM, Bootloader, Boot Manager, and Boot Updater.
