Operations Engineer (Linux)

Keepit is a company providing SaaS cloud-based backup services to a global audience. Their platform offers immutable, historical archives of data from systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Entra ID, Dynamics 365, and Zendesk. They focus on protecting customers against ransomware and accidents while ensuring performance, reliability, and predictability of data backups.

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, NAT, VLANs, and Firewalls (nftables)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong command-line proficiency
• Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code, preferably Ansible and AWX
• Familiarity with the Grafana LGTM stack (Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Prometheus) is highly desirable
• Strong analytical thinking and independent problem-solving ability
• Self-discipline, creativity, and motivation for continuous learning
• Good verbal and written English skills (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Debian/Ubuntu environments
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL (administration, basic performance tuning, backups)
• Experience with Pacemaker / Corosync high-availability clustering
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ISAE 3402 standards
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge

• Implement and monitor logging, alerting, and monitoring to ensure system health, performance, and reliability
• Develop and extend automation tooling to improve operational efficiency
• Provide support for both hardware and software systems
• Maintain and update documentation for daily operations and procedures
• Deploy, operate, and maintain Linux systems in a data center environment
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and post-incident root cause analysis
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve system stability, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate closely with the security team to design and implement new security solutions
• Support system upgrades, patching, and security updates across the infrastructure
• Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization of infrastructure systems
