Agentic Engineering Platform Engineer

• Experience with autonomous coding agents, AI coding platforms, agent orchestration, or internal AI developer tooling.
• Practical experience building, deploying, or operating AI-assisted or agentic development workflows.
• Strong software engineering background, preferably in platform engineering, developer experience, infrastructure, tooling, CI/CD, or engineering productivity.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives from problem definition through pilot, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
• Deep understanding of GitHub, CI, testing strategies, code review, monorepos, issue tracking, developer environments, and release risk.
• Strong judgment on permissions, secrets handling, sandboxing, sensitive code, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Skills in designing benchmarks, quality signals, failure-mode tracking, and adoption metrics.
• Strong written communication for writing repo instructions, playbooks, PR templates, technical proposals, and alignment documents.
• Credibility with senior engineers and ability to influence cross-functionally without formal authority.

Nice to have:

• Experience with large TypeScript, Node.js, or JavaScript monorepos.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Linear, automated testing infrastructure, preview environments, or internal developer platforms.
• Experience in security-aware platform engineering, including sandboxing and secrets management.
• Created evaluation frameworks or benchmarks for AI-generated code.
• Contributions to open-source or source-available projects.
• Understanding of B2B SaaS environments emphasizing reliability, permissions, and data trust.
• Familiarity with workflow automation, integration platforms, AI orchestration, or developer products.

Build the paved road for agentic development:

• Define safe task categories for autonomous agents, specifying actions and required reviews.
• Design and implement isolated execution environments protecting secrets and sensitive systems.
• Build pilot workflows for agents to pick, test, and produce draft PRs from Linear issues.

Make n8n's monorepo agent-ready:

• Create and maintain repo instructions, agent playbooks, ownership metadata, coding guidelines, and documentation.
• Continuously improve workflows, repo structure, testability, and documentation based on agent performance.
• Collaborate with Architecture and senior engineers to define boundaries and context needs for agents.

Integrate agents into engineering workflows:

• Integrate agentic workflows with Linear, GitHub, CI, test infrastructure, and review processes.
• Design PR evidence templates clarifying changes, tests, risks, and areas needing human judgment.
• Partner with Security, AI/Agents, Platform, and product teams to define guardrails for sensitive domains.

Measure quality, safety, and adoption:

• Create benchmarks from historical engineering tasks to evaluate agent output and risks.
• Define quality signals and adoption metrics including draft PR usefulness, review acceptance, CI pass rates, rework, and satisfaction.
• Use data and feedback to improve workflows, reduce unsafe attempts, and build engineering trust.
