C Embedded Software Engineer

Our embedded software engineering team's mission is to craft reliable, high-performance solutions that reach millions of homes worldwide within the home security market. The team emphasizes comprehensive testing, rigorous security standards, and close collaboration with hardware engineering, product management, and customer support teams. They focus on writing clean, maintainable code and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.

• 5+ years C proficiency (embedded, bare-metal, and RTOS environments).
• 3+ years of experience in embedded development.
• Understanding of multi-core architectures and inter-core communication (IPC, mailbox, shared memory).
• Proficiency in full SDLC, including Git, CMake, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and debugging tools (Hardware debugging via JTAG).
• Experience with protocols: UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) and static analysis (Coverity).
• Good written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with C++ (17 standard).
• Experience using AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality embedded software in C/C++ for camera-based security devices.
• Debug and resolve complex software, hardware, and network connectivity issues across the entire software stack.
• Develop new features and improve existing codebases for the product line.
• Optimize software performance for resource-constrained embedded environments.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to team members.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with QA teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies.
• Document software designs, APIs, libraries, and troubleshooting procedures.
