Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Platform Reliability (Resilience)

• Demonstrated experience with platform reliability and a customer-first approach to operational problem solving from a Site Reliability Engineering perspective.
• Background in software engineering enabling collaboration to identify, implement, and deliver solutions.
• Experience with public cloud environments and managed Kubernetes services is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills fostering inclusive collaboration and team relationship building.
• Experience working in distributed or remote teams is desirable.

• Lead technical initiatives to automate system engineering efforts ensuring reliability of global Elastic infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain software, tooling, and automation to grow global Platform infrastructure and meet scaling demands.
• Foster a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence and team upliftment.
• Participate in on-call rotation following a follow-the-sun model to respond to and prevent repeated customer impacts from major incidents.

Bonus Points:

• Operate SaaS products in public cloud with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling like Crossplane or Terraform.
• Build or operate Kubernetes-at-scale infrastructures across multiple cloud providers with necessary automation.
• Write non-trivial programs in Golang or other languages.
• Work with containerized services such as Docker.
• Lead and improve alerting and major incident management systems with tools like Elastic Stack, Graphite, Prometheus, or Influx.
• Possess professional Linux system administration skills on distributed systems at scale.
• Diagnose, design, implement, and create solutions with the Elastic Stack.
