Data Engineer

SalesTube is the largest martech & ecommerce connected agency in CEE, integrating technological, analytical, e-commerce, and media competencies. They serve over 150 customers in 30 markets, with expertise in platforms like Google Marketing Platform, Salesforce, Tealium, Synerise, Google Analytics 360, Adobe, Adform DMP, Google Cloud, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The Intelligence Division focuses on data integration, modeling, and activation for performance management.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in data engineering with Google Cloud.
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification (or to be obtained within the first month).
• Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, BigTable, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Functions/Run, IAM, Networking.
• Practical experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build), Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and Airflow.
• Advanced SQL skills including window functions, partitioning, clustering in BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Python and writing clean code.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a technical partner for external stakeholders.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
• Understanding of modern Data Mesh concepts.

Core responsibilities:

• Designing scalable Google Cloud data architectures from the ground up.
• Moderating discovery sessions and translating architectural concepts into business value.
• Challenging client requests during pre-sales and project phases.
• Transforming ETL scripts into standardized ELT frameworks and defining orchestration rules.
• Designing and implementing security standards, audit logging, and data quality monitoring.
• Acting as a technical mentor through pair programming, setting standards, and code reviews.
