Principal Commercial Data Architect

• 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Data Management
• Strong experience designing and governing enterprise-scale data platforms supporting multiple business applications
• Advanced expertise in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Modeling
• Practical experience with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions
• Strong understanding of commercial business domains including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Commercial Operations
• Experience working with cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure Data Lake, or similar
• Hands-on experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and messaging technologies such as Kafka, AMQP, or MQTT
• Experience designing and governing REST APIs and/or GraphQL APIs
• Strong knowledge of SQL, DBT, and modern data engineering ecosystems
• Good understanding of AI-ready data architectures, semantic layers, metadata management, data lineage, and governance frameworks
• Familiarity with architecture governance practices, including ADRs, Fitness Functions, and enterprise architecture frameworks
• Knowledge of GDPR, data protection principles, and regulated environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field

Nice to have:

• Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Diagnostics, or other highly regulated industries
• Knowledge of commercial platforms such as Salesforce, Veeva, SAP, or ServiceNow
• Experience building semantic models supporting Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation programs and complex data ecosystems

• Design and continuously evolve a scalable and future-ready Commercial Service Backbone supporting multiple business applications and data products
• Create and maintain Conceptual, Logical, and Domain Data Models, Taxonomies, Ontologies, and Data Standards across commercial domains
• Define architecture for key commercial entities including Customer Data, Master Data, Customer Interactions, Service Entitlements, and Commercial Contracts
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to establish scalable and clearly separated business domains
• Design and govern event-driven integration patterns and API-based communication across commercial platforms and analytical environments
• Establish semantic standards for enterprise analytics, business reporting, and AI-driven use cases
• Ensure commercial data products are designed for reliable consumption by advanced analytics and AI solutions
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to align business and technology roadmaps
• Drive and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and contribute to architecture governance processes
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy data platforms, reduce technical debt, and improve scalability across the data landscape
• Promote best practices in data architecture, governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality
