Database Administrator – Microsoft SQL Server

Awareson Sp. z o.o. is seeking a senior Database Administrator specializing in Microsoft SQL Server to work in Poznań. The role involves administration, ensuring system stability, development of database platforms, and collaboration with clients. The position offers involvement in projects related to DBaaS, High Availability, and database consolidation.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in database system administration
• Very good knowledge of relational databases
• Practical, in-depth experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration
• Experience with High Availability solutions
• Ability to diagnose issues related to database availability and performance
• Completed vocational education in IT
• Very good communication and collaboration skills with clients and teams
• Independence and responsibility for technical tasks
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of NoSQL or graph databases
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MariaDB
• Familiarity with DBaaS solutions
• Certifications related to Microsoft SQL Server or database administration
• Experience developing standards and architecture for database environments

• Monitor availability, stability, and performance of Microsoft SQL Server databases

• Provisioning, configuration, and administration of databases

• Analyze and resolve incidents and technical tickets

• Troubleshoot database performance and availability issues

• Provide technical consulting to clients and analyze their requirements

• Develop and standardize the Microsoft SQL Server environment

• Create and maintain technical documentation

• Collaborate with other teams on platform development and maintenance

• Consolidate distributed database systems

• Develop services towards Database as a Service (DBaaS)

• Ensure high availability, stability, and performance of the platform

• Develop and optimize existing solutions

• Create and implement technical standards for the SQL Server environment
