GCP Data Engineer

• Hands-on experience with dbt
• Experience with Apache Airflow workflow orchestration
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with PySpark-based data processing
• Practical experience with BigQuery
• Experience designing and developing data lakehouse solutions
• Knowledge of medallion architecture concepts
• Experience with performance and cost optimization in BigQuery
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD implementation
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Understanding of data security concepts including IAM, RBAC/ABAC, policy tagging, and DLP
• Familiarity with data governance concepts, metadata management, and data lineage
• Experience participating in code reviews and establishing engineering standards
• Ability to provide technical consulting and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Experience in regulated environments such as financial services
• Knowledge of cloud data governance best practices
• Experience with modern Lakehouse architectures

• Developing and maintaining Lakehouse Gold and Platinum layers
• Building and optimizing data transformation workflows using dbt and PySpark
• Designing, scheduling, and monitoring data pipelines with Airflow
• Improving BigQuery performance and supporting FinOps optimization initiatives
• Managing infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions
• Supporting cloud security and data governance practices, including IAM and DLP
• Working with Dataplex for data management and governance
• Collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver reliable data solutions
