Automation Engineer (DevOps & JAVA focus)

Motorola Solutions is a global company focused on building technologies that help keep people and places safer. The Intelligent Middleware (IMW) team develops a suite of critical network services that bridge different radio networks via a common API to support wireless device communication across various protocols.

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering.
• Strong expertise with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins, and pipeline management.
• Practical knowledge of Ansible for Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration concepts.
• Solid knowledge of JAVA (ability to read, debug, and write code).
• Understanding of Windows OS internals.
• Openness to working in a hybrid model combining code and operations.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
• Practical experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini).

• Drive automation of software delivery (CI/CD) and infrastructure.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Ansible and scripts.
• Gradually take ownership of changes in the JAVA components of the IMW backend.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure system scalability and quality.
• Leverage modern AI coding assistants to accelerate coding and documentation.
