Backend Software Engineer (Java and Kotlin)

• Strong commercial experience with Java and Kotlin
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
• Practical experience designing and developing microservices architectures
• Experience building and maintaining backend services and REST APIs
• Strong focus on code quality, testing, and engineering best practices
• Ability to design new modules and improve existing systems
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery
• Ability to work effectively with Product, Data, and UX teams
• Polish and English at B2 level
• Openness to occasional visits to the Warsaw office (1-2 days per quarter)

• Developing and enhancing scalable backend services for a specialized automotive marketplace
• Designing and developing microservices and REST APIs supporting key customer journeys
• Designing new modules and improving existing platform components
• Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and UX Designers to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Ensuring high standards of code quality, testing, maintainability, and engineering best practices
• Using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or OpenCode to support software delivery

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
