QA Engineer (Fin DB)

payabl. is a licensed financial company specializing in global payments and multi-currency accounts, offering a platform called payabl.one that consolidates financial services for businesses.

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, Python, and PyTest.
• Experience with API and backend testing.
• Strong functional and integration testing experience.
• Ability to design clear, maintainable test cases.
• Strong debugging skills, including working with logs and system behavior.
• Good understanding of data validation and system behavior.
• Good communication skills to explain technical topics clearly.
• Comfortable with taking ownership and working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or financial platforms.
• Experience with acquiring, settlement, payouts, or transaction-based systems.
• Understanding of transaction flows, reconciliation, or financial data.
• Experience with Selenium.
• Understanding of distributed systems or microservices architectures.
• Exposure to cloud-based environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.

• Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Create and execute test cases based on new feature implementations.
• Perform API and backend testing to ensure system behavior and data integrity.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
• Perform manual testing when needed.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on product requirements.
• Analyze logs and system flows to identify issues and root causes.
• Identify, document, and track defects with reproducible steps.
• Participate in refinement sessions and provide QA input early in the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to improve quality and delivery.
• Contribute to improving test automation, coverage, and QA practices.
• Deliver stable and reliable software in a complex financial environment.

This is a fully remote role for candidates based in Poland or Portugal under a Contractor arrangement. Candidates based in Cyprus or open to relocation may have onsite arrangements with relocation support provided.
