QA Engineer (Fin DB)

payabl. is a licensed financial company specializing in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts. They offer a platform called payabl.one to unify their financial services, focusing on payments innovation and banking services.

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Playwright
  • TypeScript
  • Python
  • PyTest
• Experience with API and backend testing.
• Strong functional and integration testing experience.
• Ability to design and structure clear, maintainable test cases.
• Strong debugging skills, including working with logs and system behaviour.
• Good understanding of data validation and system behaviour.
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Comfortable taking ownership and working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or financial platforms.
• Experience with acquiring, settlement, payouts, or transaction-based systems.
• Understanding of transaction flows, reconciliation, or financial data.
• Experience with Selenium.
• Understanding of distributed systems or microservices architectures.
• Exposure to cloud-based environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.

• Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Create and execute test cases based on new feature implementations.
• Perform API and backend testing to ensure correct system behaviour and data integrity.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing across FinDB systems.
• Perform manual testing when needed to ensure full coverage.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and coverage based on product requirements.
• Analyse logs and system flows to identify issues and understand root causes.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear evidence and reproducible steps.
• Participate in refinement sessions and provide QA input early in the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to improve quality and delivery.
• Contribute to improving test automation, coverage, and QA practices.
• Deliver stable and reliable software in a complex financial environment.

This is a fully remote role for candidates based in Poland or Portugal (Contractor arrangement). Onsite work is possible in Cyprus with relocation support. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to these locations.
