Senior SRE or DevOps engineer in networking-heavy infrastructure (Remote)

• Experience building and operating highly available infrastructure at scale: hundreds of servers and dozens of services under real production load.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in self-hosted/bare-metal environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proactive communication and problem surfacing skills.
• Scripting and development skills.

Nice to have:

• Led at least one major infrastructure migration: planned, executed, and stabilized.
• Familiarity with Python and/or Go (backend is Python, edge services use Go).
• Exposure to proxy and networking-heavy infrastructure.
• Previous experience in small teams sharing infrastructure responsibility.
• Familiarity with edge clusters or split compute/edge architectures.

• Own and evolve Webshare's production infrastructure.
• Lead the migration from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes on premises.
• Maintain high availability across hundreds of servers and approximately 50 services.
• Drive observability in cooperation with the development team.
• Establish and enforce Infrastructure as Code practices and reliable CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in the on-call rotation alongside backend engineers.
• Respond to and lead infrastructure incident resolution, run post-mortems, and drive systematic remediation.
• Contribute to platform tooling improving developer experience and reducing infrastructure toil.
• Own infrastructure together with a strong team of backend engineers.
