Expert Data Engineer

Ciklum is a custom product engineering company with a global team of over 4,000 developers, consultants, analysts, and product owners, operating delivery centers in Wrocław and Gdańsk with 300+ professionals in Poland. The company supports multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve complex business challenges by engineering technology.

• 3+ years of experience developing BI solutions with Power BI
• Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, report/dashboard creation, data transformations, and DAX formulas
• Strong expertise in DAX for complex calculations
• Experience with Power Query for data transformations and ETL
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and best practices
• 3+ years coding in SQL (preferably Azure SQL DB or MSSQL), strong CS fundamentals
• Hands-on experience building, managing, and optimizing complex ETL pipelines
• Strong experience with Azure Data Lake Storage and Parquet file optimizations
• Experience writing and optimizing code in Azure Synapse notebooks
• 2+ years contributing to production deployments of large backend data processing systems
• Experience in data integration and ETL processes
• Proficient with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, data warehousing design and optimization
• Knowledge of data quality testing, automation, and result visualization
• Familiarity with development life cycle: coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations
• Experience in Agile software development teams (e.g., Scrum)
• Experience designing and defending large distributed computing system components
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software on complex projects
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and handle multiple priorities

• Designing, developing, and deploying Power BI solutions, including dashboards and reports providing key business insights
• Designing and implementing data models
• Optimizing reports and dashboards by improving query speed and data model efficiency
• Managing data ingestion, real-time and batch processing, and complex ETL pipelines
• Performance tuning complicated SQL and DAX queries
• Developing and maintaining data workflows using Azure Synapse notebooks
• Managing and optimizing data storage in Azure Data Lake Storage using Parquet files with advanced optimization techniques
• Identifying and improving platform quality, robustness, maintainability, and speed
• Cross-training team members on technologies and continuously learning new technologies
• Participating in community building, conferences, and promoting best practices

Dane osobowe będą przetwarzane do czasu zakończenia postępowania rekrutacyjnego i przez okres możliwości dochodzenia ewentualnych roszczeń, a w przypadku wyrażenia zgody na udział w przyszłych postępowaniach rekrutacyjnych - do czasu wycofania tej zgody. Zgoda na przetwarzanie danych osobowych może zostać wycofana w dowolnym momencie. Odbiorcą danych jest serwis Just Join IT oraz inne podmioty, którym powierzyliśmy przetwarzanie danych w związku z rekrutacją.
