GCP Platform Engineer

AgileEngine is an Inc. 5000 company creating software for Fortune 500 brands and startups across 17+ industries, recognized for application development and AI/ML expertise.

• 4+ years in Cloud Engineering focusing on GCP.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services: GKE, Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Load Balancing.
• Experience with GKE, Docker, GKE networking, and Helm.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
• Expertise in Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, and compliance.
• Practical experience in AWS-to-GCP migration.
• Comfortable delivering code with AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex.
• Upper-intermediate English language skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Databricks or BigQuery.
• Experience migrating network and infrastructure components.
• Strong Go or Python expertise.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud migration programs.
• Experience with MCP, reusable AI Skills, or agentic AI workflows.
• Cross-cloud cost and performance optimization experience.

Cloud Infrastructure:

• Architect, deploy, and maintain GCP cloud resources via Terraform or automation.
• Implement Google Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Filestore.
• Manage Cloud Load Balancers for high availability and scalability.
• Design cloud networking, IAM, security, and landing-zone components.
• Optimize resource allocation, monitoring, and cost efficiency.

Kubernetes & Serverless:

• Deploy and optimize workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Work with Helm charts.
• Automate scaling, rolling updates, and zero-downtime deployments.
• Move Kubernetes workloads across clouds (AWS EKS to GKE).
• Deploy and manage apps on Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
• Optimize containerized apps on Cloud Run.

CI/CD & DevOps:

• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Integrate security and compliance checks (DevSecOps).
• Migrate/redesign pipelines during AWS-to-GCP transitions.

AWS-to-GCP Migration:

• Assess AWS infrastructure and define GCP target architectures.
• Plan and execute migration activities including cutover and rollback.
• Manage cross-cloud data migration.
• Support reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Automate migration using scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go) and platform tooling.
• Use AI coding assistants for migration analysis, implementation, and documentation.
