Senior Java Developer

Scalo is a company operating with a microservices-based Warehouse Execution System (WES) supporting warehouse processes. The team is international and operates with Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in software design and development
• Very good knowledge of Java
• Practical experience with Spring / Spring Boot
• Good knowledge of SQL and either Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Experience with JMS / ActiveMQ
• Experience developing and evolving microservices-based systems
• Knowledge of REST Web Services
• Experience with Linux
• Familiarity with GitHub and Jenkins
• Experience working with large, highly transactional systems
• Knowledge of SDLC processes
• Higher education in Computer Science or related field
• Independence, proactivity, and problem-solving skills
• Very good command of English at minimum C1 level for daily collaboration with an international team

• Develop and expand the WES system based on microservices architecture
• Design and implement new functionalities in Java and Spring
• Develop highly transactional applications supporting warehouse processes
• Analyze existing components and design new system components
• Prepare Proof of Concept for new technological solutions
• Participate in designing, implementing, and testing new functionalities
• Collaborate with QA and Infrastructure teams during deployments
• Maintain high code quality and technical documentation
• Diagnose issues and support client-side systems
• Work within an international team of Developers, QA, and Architects
• Cooperate using Agile methodologies – Scrum/Kanban
• Work remotely with occasional trips near Poznań
