PHP Developer

Oro, Inc. is a US-based software development company established in 2012 by the founders of Magento. The company developed OroCommerce, a B2B eCommerce platform with native CRM and marketplace functionality, tailored for manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors. Oro uses a technology stack including JavaScript, PHP, and the Symfony full-stack framework, along with technologies like Docker, CI, MQ, and ElasticSearch.

• Good object-oriented design (OOD) skills
• Strong knowledge of PHP
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience in database design

• Develop OroPlatform, OroCRM, and OroCommerce as enterprise solutions for partners and clients
• Use open-source PHP solutions such as Symfony, Doctrine, Twig, and Oro components
• Study product business cases, assess client needs, and plan work with the team and Product Owner
• Develop components architecture for flexibility and customization, acting as Component Lead
• Improve and refactor codebase following principles like SOLID and GRASP
• Ensure performance and scalability of components when deploying in OroCloud using tools like Blackfire
• Test code using PHPUnit, functional testing with Symfony's Web TestCase, and integration testing with Behat
• Implement best Continuous Integration practices using Jenkins, Docker, and GCP
• Communicate with community, partners, and clients to improve Oro products
• Engage in knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and improvement
