Senior Backend Engineer (Go) (Incogni)

Join the Incogni engineering team to build the next-generation backend platform powering Incogni and Ironwall at scale.

• Strong experience building production-grade backend systems
• Solid understanding of software design principles, distributed systems, and API design
• Experience with databases, messaging systems, and service-oriented or event-driven architectures
• Ability to reason about concurrency, performance, and reliability
• Confidence participating in architectural discussions and technical decision-making

Nice to have:

• Experience building or scaling systems serving millions of requests
• Hands-on production experience with Go
• Strong understanding of observability, reliability, and operational excellence
• Contribution to modernizing or evolving backend platforms

• Design, build, and evolve high-traffic, business-critical backend services primarily in Go
• Lead and influence architectural decisions including domain modeling, service boundaries, infrastructure, and deployment strategies
• Drive the evolution of the service platform with senior and lead engineers
• Identify performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges and propose pragmatic, long-term solutions
• Own complex technical initiatives from design to production rollout
• Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code while raising engineering standards across the team
