Junior Quality Assurance and Automation Engineer, SA

Charles River Development (CRD) is the FinTech division of State Street. CRD forms the foundation of the State Street Alpha® Platform, the first front-to-back solution in the industry. The Alpha® Platform Engineering organization is innovating by moving away from monolithic software to next generation cloud-based technology using Microsoft Azure, Kafka, and Snowflake.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field
• 0 to 2 years of professional or equivalent college project experience
• Initial experience with one or more of: Java, C#, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or batch scripts
• Familiarity with automation testing concepts for web, desktop, API, and batch applications
• Knowledge of issue tracking systems and wikis (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Must work a minimum of 3 days per week from office

• Contribute to development of automated mechanisms generating data shapes and user flow patterns using logging and tracing information
• Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests
• Maintain automated and manual test script libraries
• Interpret automation test results and document software defects
• Research and define paths to achieve full end-to-end automation using Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers on software solutions
• Coordinate with Scrum teams for product quality and performance
• Participate in agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Review business requirements and functional specifications
• Engage in on-the-job and formal trainings for career development
