Data Quality Business Analyst (Finance), Senior Associate

The Finance Data and AI Office (DART) provides high quality data products and services to Finance, Risk, and Treasury stakeholders. The role supports Risk, Finance, and Treasury Data Repositories and related projects in financial services, including regulatory requirements and Finance transformation at State Street, a global financial services company.

• 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or data operations
• Basic to intermediate experience with data using SQL and Excel (advanced preferred)
• Understanding of data quality concepts and controls
• Interest in Finance, Risk, or regulatory reporting
• Experience with tools such as SQL, Excel; exposure to Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Willingness to learn and develop in a data-focused role
• Ability to follow structured processes within control frameworks
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Fluent English

• Analyse datasets to identify and support investigation of data quality issues
• Assist in investigating breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation differences
• Support reconciliations, root cause analysis, and issue resolution activities
• Execute and monitor data quality checks and controls
• Support tracking and remediation of data quality issues
• Assist in performing and validating manual adjustments ensuring accuracy and control
• Contribute to delivery of accurate, complete, and timely data for regulatory reporting
• Maintain and update documentation such as SOPs, data definitions, and control descriptions
• Support process improvement and standardisation initiatives
• Assist in implementation of automation solutions including Alteryx, Power BI, and workflow tools

AI & Automation exposure:

• Support identification of automation opportunities to reduce manual work
• Use AI-assisted tools for data analysis and documentation
• Develop understanding of AI applications in data quality and reconciliation
• Validate AI tool outputs with guidance
• Provide regular updates and escalate issues as needed
