System Engineer (f/m)

Bosch Group is a global leader focused on inventing high-quality technologies and services. This role is within Bosch Digital division, part of Robert Bosch Sp. z o.o., operating in the mechanical or industrial engineering industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, VMware vSAN, and enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI).
• Expertise with enterprise Linux distributions such as RHEL and Ubuntu/Debian.
• Strong knowledge of networking, OS storage management (LVM, multipathing), and directory services (Kerberos, Active Directory, PAM).
• Practical knowledge of x86 enterprise server hardware, remote management tools like HPE iLO/OneView, diagnostics, and hardware lifecycle.
• Experience automating infrastructure using Ansible, shell scripting (Bash), or Python.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to work in a global distributed team.
• Fluent English in written and spoken form.

Nice to have:

• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP) or Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE).
• Vendor-specific x86 hardware certifications or experience with HPE server platforms.
• Familiarity with patch management tools such as Red Hat Satellite, SUSE Manager, BigFix.
• Understanding of Agile, ITIL, DevOps, and SRE methodologies.

• Operate and develop global virtualization environments including VMware vSAN clusters and vCenter.
• Manage installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle of enterprise Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian, RHEL).
• Develop automation solutions using Ansible playbooks/roles, scripts, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage x86 server hardware lifecycle and collaborate with vendors such as HPE.
• Design, maintain, and optimize enterprise software-defined storage and storage integrations.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues across hardware, hypervisor, OS, and storage.
• Implement security hardening, integrate Linux with identity providers (AD, PAM, Kerberos), and manage vulnerabilities.
• Optimize and expand infrastructure monitoring using Grafana, Nagios, and Icinga.
• Provide technical consultancy and architecture recommendations for compute, storage, and virtualization.
