Software Engineer 4/5 - Content, Business Products and Games Engineering

Content and Business Products Engineering builds the products and services used by internal and external creative partners, producing and managing global content. Their products enable the entire workflow of content production and promotion, providing innovative ways to develop and manage entertainment at scale. Teams include Studio Production Engineering, impacting how Netflix studio creates and produces shows globally, and Content Infrastructure & Solutions, building platforms for media processing and storage infrastructure. Games Engineering teams develop tools and infrastructure for launching games on Netflix efficiently. Content Promotion & Distribution Engineering builds products that manage the global entertainment catalog and off-service experiences. The role is based in Warsaw with a hybrid-working model.

• Experience architecting, building, and operating resilient, highly-available, high-scale, low-latency microservices in production environments.
• Proficiency with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with relational and non-relational data stores.
• Recent proficiency with Java, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages, with a solid understanding of OO design principles, concurrency, multi-threading, performance tuning, and observability.
• Ability to describe complex technical concepts to various stakeholders effectively.
• Capability for independent action, ownership, and effective collaboration.
• Ability to recognize, communicate, address, and lead technical improvements.
• Collaboration across backend and UI engineers, product designers, and managers to deliver user-focused solutions.
• Ability to identify business opportunities aligning with organizational goals.
• Adaptability to work across different stack layers or domains.

• Evaluate new technologies and approaches to streamline and improve rapid application development tooling and conventions.
