Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o. operates in the Electronics domain and is focused on building scalable vertical product experiences as part of Allegro's platform. The team works on massive-scale distributed services processing millions of daily offer events and integrates AI capabilities to enhance their backend offerings. The company has an internal ecosystem leveraging modern tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Consul, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.

• Commercial experience coding in Kotlin or Java with eagerness to master Kotlin.
• Solid commercial experience with the Spring Boot ecosystem for building scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Commitment to high-quality code and engineering best practices.
• Openness to exploring unfamiliar tech stacks, including some frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Ability to utilize AI-powered tools in daily workflow.
• Effective communication skills in Polish and English (minimum B2 level).

Massive Scale:

• Design, build, and optimize high-throughput systems processing over 120 million daily offer events on one of Allegro’s largest distributed services.

Applied AI Integration:

• Build backend services leveraging AI capabilities to automate workflows.
• Integrate existing AI systems to generate content, classify offer attributes, and transform unstructured data.

Strategic Business Impact:

• Design and evolve vertical product experiences using Domain-Driven Architecture in the Electronics domain.
• Support Allegro's strategic shift toward a specialized shop-in-shop ecosystem.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Utilize Spring Boot to build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Use AI-powered tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and research.
• Participate in a hybrid work model (4 days onsite, 1 remote).
