DevOps Engineer

Duco is an enterprise data automation platform company focused on reducing the time spent on data-related work by 90%. They provide a platform that automates data controls using technologies such as no-code, cloud, and AI to support large financial institutions and entities like banks, brokers, exchanges, and asset managers. The company is headquartered in London with offices including Wroclaw, Poland.

• 5+ years experience in DevOps, Platform, or Build Engineering with a focus on large-scale CI/CD and developer workflow optimization.
• Proven observability design experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger/Tempo, OpenTelemetry, and Honeycomb.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and Golang for automation and internal tools.
• Experience designing and operating production CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of modern build and packaging tools including Docker, container optimization, caching, and artifact management.
• Experience working in cross-functional initiatives, writing shared libraries, and establishing practices and standards.
• Relevant certifications in DevOps, Kubernetes, or AWS are a plus.

• Own observability architecture: design and implement unified logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
• Drive SLO-based operations: establish service level objectives, dashboards, and alerting frameworks for proactive incident response.
• Build observability tooling: develop internal tools for service instrumentation, issue diagnosis, and self-service monitoring.
• Lead incident response: troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and participate in on-call duties.
• Support CI/CD pipelines: contribute to reliable delivery pipelines and maintain reusable templates using tools like GitLab CI, Flux, and Helm.
• Integrate with platform systems: ensure observability and delivery tooling work seamlessly with Kubernetes and cloud services.
• Partner and mentor: collaborate to standardize instrumentation practices and raise organization-wide observability standards.
