CIS Security Architect (freelance)

PwC IT Services sp. z o.o. supports clients in transformation using the latest technologies by analyzing data, creating customer experiences, reducing costs, and promoting modern teamwork. The position is for a freelance CIS Security Architect working on projects that change the way companies operate, with a project duration of 3 months with possibility of extension.

• Experience with Databricks and the Microsoft Azure environment.
• Participation in designing and implementing data platforms and cloud-based solutions.
• Practical knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Ability to design and develop large-scale data processing and transformation workflows.
• Understanding of data architecture and data quality management.
• Proficiency with SQL and tools used for data analysis and processing.
• Experience collaborating with business and technical teams on complex projects.
• Ability to independently solve technical problems and propose optimal solutions.
• Good communication skills in English for working in an international environment.
• Additional advantage: experience in regulatory reporting projects, financial or insurance sectors, and knowledge of CCH Tagetik.
• Must be able to operate as a sole proprietorship or business entity in Poland due to project-based employment.

• Analyze and interpret requirements from CIS Controls and CIS Benchmarks for the Azure environment.
• Assess existing security mechanisms and identify gaps and improvement areas.
• Prioritize security controls based on risk levels, business impact, and implementation feasibility.
• Perform risk analyses and recommend mitigating actions.
• Advise stakeholders on security implementation decisions or risk acceptance.
• Review and validate cloud architecture projects for compliance with security requirements.
• Collaborate with governance, compliance, audit, and technical teams.
• Support building and maintaining secure Azure architecture following industry best practices.

The position requires the possibility to conduct business activity as a sole proprietor or business entity in Poland due to the project-based nature of the employment.
