Business Analyst (EU Public)

The project is delivered for Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, as part of its Enterprise Software Platforms Portfolio. It supports automation of business processes and improves communication and collaboration through applications, tools, Intranet and Extranet solutions based mainly on SharePoint and ServiceNow. The portfolio supports various Frontex divisions, including HR, Legal, ETIAS, Equipment, Logistics, and Operations, with multiple projects and products continuously developed and implemented.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT professional experience
• Minimum 3 years of project experience in a similar role
• Higher vocational education (minimum Bachelor's degree)
• Holds at least two of the following certifications: Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA) or equivalent, Certified UML Professional or BPM 2 fundamental level or equivalent
• Completed at least one full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge in business process modeling using BPMN notation
• Experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and user story definition
• Knowledge of analysis and modeling notations such as UML (capability diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, logical data models)
• Proficiency in modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, or equivalent
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Role as BA on large-scale project (over 1 year, budget > €1M) for deployment of enterprise resource planning system
• Experience analyzing business processes: Logistics, Warehouse Management, Asset Management, Fleet Management, Financial Management, Legal, HR, Project Management
• Experience in business (and optionally system) analysis considering capabilities of the ServiceNow platform: ITSM (Hardware Asset Management, CMDB), SecOps, Customer Service Management, Enterprise Assets Management, Strategic Portfolio Management in on-prem and cloud setups
• Possess at least one valid ServiceNow certificate: Certified System Administrator, Citizen Developer, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, or other relevant

• Model and document value chains, business processes, roles, capabilities, and data
• Elicit and analyze business needs, requirements, and user stories
• Support business experts and product owners during requirement definition and software development
• Maintain and track requirements and user stories throughout the system lifecycle
• Translate business, user, and technical needs into business requirements specifications
• Map business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features
• Analyze available systems and identify options for potential solutions
• Support preparation of business cases and feasibility studies
• Contribute to systems design, testing, quality assurance, and change management
• Design, validate, and test business processes for business process excellence
• Plan and manage programs for continuous business process improvements
• Coach Frontex staff on upcoming changes and ensure plans to teach new skills and processes
• Collaborate with end-to-end process owners to seek process improvements
• Identify opportunities for business process improvement enhancing customer service, cost, or revenue
• Communicate project objectives, business case, requirements, and scope to stakeholders
• Quantitatively analyze business processes, including cost-benefit and what-if analyses
• Plan organizational change processes
• Implement performance monitoring systems for business processes
• Support business users in developing strategic and tactical plans
• Support definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures
