QA / Test Engineer

Merit is a holding company that acquires, manages, and builds software businesses in niche verticals over a long period. They take an AI-first approach to modernizing and expanding their portfolio, supporting both investment operations and portfolio companies with an internal technology group that tackles high-impact projects.

• Experience with browser automation using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted testing tools such as Claude, Copilot, or LLM-driven tooling.
• Skills in functional and exploratory testing and manual testing.
• Knowledge of Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with API and integration testing.
• Ability to communicate in Polish and English (minimum B1 level).

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions.
• Experience with .NET.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Competence in test strategy and QA process design.
• Experience with modern and legacy technology stacks.

• Verify that features and fixes work as intended across multiple products and stacks.
• Perform hands-on manual and exploratory testing where automation is insufficient.
• Use AI tools such as Claude to drive browser automation with Playwright and similar frameworks.
• Convert manual test flows into AI-assisted automated verification to save time.
• Decide what is worth automating to optimize product confidence rather than test counts.
• Report clearly on release behavior and associated risks.
• Work across varied stacks, including Python, .NET, and TypeScript.
