Data & BI Analyst (Databricks & Power BI)

hubQuest brings together IT and analytics specialists to build and strengthen technology teams. They help partners turn data into useful, reliable solutions. The role is for an Integrated Reporting project at pilot and Proof of Concept stage for a global organisation, aiming to unify reporting logic across multiple systems into a consistent business reporting foundation.

• At least 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data delivery, or similar roles.
• Practical experience with Azure Databricks and SQL, including data transformation and combining multiple data sources.
• Experience with Power BI reports or semantic models.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modelling, testing, and data quality.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
• Confidence in questioning, explaining findings, and constructively pushing back.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Delta-based solutions, or finance reporting.

• Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders, clarify definitions, and challenge requests constructively.
• Map data and reporting logic across multiple source systems to define a common reporting layer.
• Work across data flow: ingestion, ETL/ELT, transformations, curated datasets in Databricks, and semantic models and reports in Power BI.
• Collaborate with data engineers and BI developers on data models, transformation rules, and solution design.
• Validate source and transformed data, reconcile calculations, and investigate discrepancies between systems and reports.
• Check delivered solutions against agreed requirements and support testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements.
• Document business definitions and key decisions; assist users in adopting new reports and functionality.
