Backend Team Lead

• 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a technical leadership or Team Lead role.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Node.js (must-have).
• Strong experience with AWS (must-have).
• Experience with React (preferred).
• Experience with Python (advantage).
• Experience working with MongoDB.
• Strong experience designing and building scalable backend systems.
• Proven experience managing technical execution across multiple workstreams.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, and clean code principles.
• Experience delivering end-to-end features and projects from design through production.
• Experience working in a fast-paced product environment.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to make independent technical decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading or collaborating with global or distributed teams.
• Ability to communicate complex technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in customer-facing technical discussions.

• Own team execution across multiple workstreams ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Drive sprint planning including prioritization and capacity planning.
• Act as a bridge between teams and departments to manage dependencies and remove blockers.
• Develop the team's velocity and capabilities through coaching and mentoring.
• Lead technical design of scalable, reliable, and maintainable features.
• Participate hands-on in cloud-based backend development using Node.js, AWS, and MongoDB.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and promote best engineering practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers from concept to production.
• Engage in technical discussions with customers to address requirements and integrations.
• Serve as the technical focal point for the domain and liaise with internal Customer Success teams.
• Lead technical discussions related to product enhancements and feature planning.
• Integrate AI tools and workflows including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and prompt-driven prototyping into development lifecycle.
