Staff System Software Engineer

• Strong experience in low-level system testing and integration across complex software and hardware layers.
• Deep understanding of RTOS, complex boot logic, Linux, and device drivers.
• Test development skills using Python and C/C++.
• Experience working with hardware, debuggers, CI/CD pipelines, and build or integration tools.
• Ability to debug cross-layer issues and perform root-cause investigations.
• Clear communication skills with ability to mentor engineers and document technical decisions.

• Build the test strategy to protect Graphcore’s system software releases at scale.
• Design, build, automate, and report tests for firmware, BMC, and Linux device drivers.
• Develop reusable tools, pipelines, and packaging solutions to speed up team processes.
• Partner with developers and package stakeholders to translate use cases into integration and system tests.
• Guide best practice and lead through hands-on technical ownership.
• Debug cross-layer issues and lead root-cause investigations for lasting corrective actions.
