Security Operations Analyst

• Over 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity including response to significant cyber incidents involving Organized Crime and Nation State threat actors.
• Over 2 years of experience working in a Cyber Security Operations Centre.
• Experience with international manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of security controls for detection and response.
• Knowledge of network protocols, edge routing technologies, firewall/IDS/IPS, SIEM, and EDR/XDR.
• Ability to communicate complex problems succinctly.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred:

• Certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCDA, GSOC, GCIH.

• Operate as part of a 24/7 Cyber Security Operations (SecOps) team monitoring company security.
• Triage security alerts for rapid incident detection and response.
• Perform deep-dive analysis of security events, logs, network traffic, and forensic data.
• Recommend modifications to internal defenses and processes.
• Manage security incidents from identification to closure.
• Ensure response and remediation actions comply with SLAs.
• Provide expert analytic support for complex security incidents.
• Support tuning of security tools and develop correlation rules/use cases.
• Maximize automation and orchestration of day-to-day security operations.
• Execute L2/L3 event or incident response and investigations.
• Generate post-incident reviews to close gaps.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence to groom threat feeds and translate findings.
• Help prioritize content and develop/implement playbooks and runbooks.
