Operations Manager (Banking)

• At least a 2:1 degree from a top university
• Minimum 5 years experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally financial services or management consulting in the Hungarian market
• Fluency in Hungarian
• Experience managing risk, compliance, and outsourcing operations
• Proven track record of ownership and leading complex projects end to end
• Ability to decompose complex problems into manageable parts
• Natural curiosity and a willingness to make an impact

Nice to have:

• Experience working with regulators
• Experience setting up a branch in Hungary

• Act as a key stakeholder for the branch in Hungary
• Oversee day-to-day first line of defence functions including governance, regulatory interactions, and oversight of BAU operations
• Provide oversight and accountability for outsourced functions
• Execute scale operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Lithuania, London, and other global offices
• Monitor country-specific risk incidents, conduct issues, their resolution timelines, and liaise with relevant service owners to ensure controls are in place
