Python Automation Tester (IoT/HVAC)

A project executed for the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) industry, focusing on heating and air conditioning technologies including thermal comfort, building energy management, and energy efficiency. The project involves communication and integration of devices with cloud and IoT technologies.

• Strong programming skills in Python, with practical experience in writing and maintaining test scripts and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework for automated test development and execution.
• Good familiarity with Linux systems, including command-line operations, scripting, and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of Yocto and embedded Linux development environments.
• Proficiency with Git including experience with GitHub Actions for automation and CI/CD workflows.
• Practical knowledge of continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of SOME/IP or similar communication protocols.
• Experience working within Scrum teams, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Basic understanding of requirements management, test case derivation, and traceability.
• Ability to create effective test cases based on system requirements ensuring comprehensive coverage.
• Ability to document test procedures, results, and issues clearly.
• Proficiency in English or German, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from the office in Katowice with openness to quarterly business trips to Germany.

• Work within the SCI Stream composed of multiple Agile teams focusing on System Control and HMI software for heat pumps, boilers, and integrated system solutions.
• Develop and enhance system-level heating and cooling features, including commissioning capabilities.
• Support delivery of customer-centric solutions through fast software component integration and continuous testing.
• Prepare and execute product demonstrations for stakeholders and customers.
• Enable and support Smart Home integration within system products and accessories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional software development teams across the SCI Stream ensuring quality delivery.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement within teams and the stream.
• Work within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment as part of a larger Solution Train organization.
