R&D Senior Software Developer (C++, C#)

Hitachi Energy focuses on Grid Automation and power grid technologies, developing software used in crucial infrastructure and real-time applications.

• University degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant education
• At least 5 years experience as Senior Developer or Technical Lead
• Proven experience programming in C++ and C#
• Ability to read and understand Fortran code is a plus
• Practitioner using AI tools to improve development efficiency
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux
• Experience in software optimization and performance improvement
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Flexible communication skills and sense of humor
• Passion for technology and willingness to share knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Develop state-of-the-art technology for future power grids as technical leader of a small, collocated development team
• Design and develop code to achieve business goals
• Provide general technology stack recommendations and contribute to product/solution security and future solution architecture
• Ensure high code quality through unit tests, Clean Code principles, SOLID, and code reviews
• Work in an agile environment
• Improve technical skills and knowledge of the project's business domain
• Represent Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity
