B2B Site Reliability Engineer

Jamf is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to work remotely in Poland with involvement in international projects. The role is at the intersection of Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Technical Support, shaping SRE practices and reliability initiatives.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in software engineering, SRE, or production operations roles.
• Strong production troubleshooting skills using profilers, heap/thread dumps, query plans, traces, logs, and metrics.
• Experience working in Agile development frameworks.
• Hands-on experience operating production services on AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS, RDS/Aurora, CloudFront).
• Experience utilizing observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, LogicMonitor.
• Experience creating clear technical documentation for diverse audiences.
• Experience writing infrastructure as code.
• Experience writing automation in a general-purpose language such as Python, Go, Java, or similar.
• Strong judgment on effective and safe application of AI in SRE work, including production access and sensitive data.
• Hands-on experience using agentic development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to deliver engineering and operational work.
• Experience improving team AI usage by authoring reusable skills, repository context files, or prompt patterns.

Nice to have:

• Experience optimizing SQL queries and database engine tuning.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Exposure to chaos engineering, fault injection, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Familiarity with FinOps practices.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant combination of experience and education.

• Partner with engineering teams to define service-level objectives, error budgets, and reliability indicators.
• Investigate complex production issues end-to-end across application, data, infrastructure, and network layers using AI.
• Produce clear technical documentation, runbooks, postmortems, and proofs of concept for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify and eliminate systemic sources of toil through automation, AI agents, tooling, and process change.
• Set conditions for AI agents to perform reliable work, including task specification, system integrations, and tests for AI changes.
• Participate in team ceremonies to refine work, communicate findings, and drive collaboration.
• Drive cross-team and cross-department collaboration on reliability initiatives, mentoring engineers on SRE practices including AI use.
• Advise senior leadership during critical customer escalations, translating technical details to business impact.
• Contribute to scaling the SRE practice by improving standards, tooling, and partnership with product engineering teams.
