Senior DevOps (Azure)

Our client is a global IT services and managed services provider specializing in cloud infrastructure, IT consulting, and supporting mission-critical enterprise environments.

• Strong experience with Terraform modules and workspaces
• Hands-on experience with Azure hub-and-spoke landing zones, AKS, Front Door, Application Gateway + WAF, Azure Firewall, APIM, VNets, Private Endpoints, Key Vault, Managed/Workload Identity, and RBAC
• Experience authoring and maintaining Helm charts, managing deployments, services, ingress, workload identity, resource management, scaling, and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads
• Networking and security experience with Front Door, WAF policies, firewall rule design, DNS, origins, routing, TLS, and migrating traffic from Cloudflare to Azure-native edge services
• Strong Azure DevOps Pipelines knowledge, understanding of modular pipeline logic using task runners like Make or Task, and security scanning integration in CI/CD
• Proven cost and scaling expertise with optimizing Cosmos DB (RU/autoscale) and Redis (tier selection, clustering), plus general Azure cost awareness
• Experience migrating live services between subscriptions, clusters, or Azure DevOps projects with minimal downtime and planned cutover/rollback
• Proficiency with Git-based trunk/PR workflows, Infrastructure as Code reviews, clear technical documentation, and independent senior contract work
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

• Port legacy and retained services onto new AKS clusters and move CI/CD pipelines into the new Azure DevOps project with shared pipeline templates
• Extend Terraform across multiple infrastructure layers including compute, hub, global infrastructure, and monitoring
• Create and maintain Helm charts for individual services
• Implement traffic-routing changes moving internal calls away from Cloudflare, adjusting Front Door, WAF, firewall, DNS, and origin configuration
• Safely decommission obsolete infrastructure maintaining Terraform state and dependencies
• Right-size and optimize Cosmos DB and Redis for throughput, tiers, scaling, cost, and performance
• Contribute to security hardening across the platform
• Maintain healthy and reliable CI/CD pipelines
• Perform general infrastructure work including platform engineering, provisioning, configuration changes, drift remediation, backlog items, and BAU tickets
• Support teams onboarding services onto the platform
• Create runbooks and handover documentation for SRE teams
