Presales Solution Architect (DACH region)

Billennium is hiring a Solution Architect (Pre-Sales) to join its Commercial & Solution team enabling tailored B2B IT solutions for software development projects, products, and services.

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or senior technical expert in a pre-sales or delivery environment.
• Strong background in software development and application architecture, including modern development practices and design patterns.
• Broad understanding of technology domains including application development, cloud environments, data platforms, and integration.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems across distributed architectures and modern platforms.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English and German (B2+ level).

Nice to have:

• Experience in pre-sales, bid management, or supporting complex IT deals.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software delivery models such as DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native approaches.
• Exposure to AI, data-driven solutions, or advanced analytics use cases.
• Experience with enterprise clients in regulated or complex environments.
• Knowledge of commercial aspects of solutioning including pricing, estimation, and cost optimization.

• Analyze client business needs and translate them into high-level solution concepts with a software development focus.
• Design end-to-end solution architectures aligned with client expectations, business goals, and Billennium’s capabilities.
• Support the sales process by contributing to proposals, presentations, estimations, and technical discussions with clients.
• Act as a trusted advisor during pre-sales engagements, working closely with Sales, Client Executives, and technical teams.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine and validate solution designs, ensuring feasibility and scalability.
• Participate in bid processes including solution costing, structuring offers, and aligning technical and commercial aspects.
• Ensure smooth handover of designed solutions to delivery teams, supporting transition and implementation phases.
