The Polish branch operates a Global Delivery Center in Katowice with around 1,000 specialists as of the time of this offer. The Digital Platform Services department focuses on cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security, serving clients mainly in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.
Wymagania
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration including production environment support
- Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture and hands-on experience with installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
- Experience with Oracle backup, restore, and recovery operations including RMAN
- Strong troubleshooting skills for database incidents and performance issues
- Good knowledge of SQL, Oracle administration utilities, and database security concepts (users, roles, privileges)
- Experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems and the relevant operational, change management, and security procedures
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with independent ownership
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in an international environment
- Professional level of English
Nice to have:
- Experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWS
- Experience migrating databases from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments
- Familiarity with ITIL processes including incident, problem, and change management
- Knowledge of additional database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB
Obowiązki
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching Oracle database systems
- Monitoring database availability, performance, capacity, and overall health
- Performing regular database maintenance and optimization activities
- Managing database users, roles, privileges, and security configurations
- Implementing and validating backup and recovery solutions
- Performing database restore and recovery operations
- Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity tests
- Troubleshooting database incidents, performance issues, and service disruptions
- Performing root cause analysis and preparing technical recommendations
- Supporting database migrations, including migrations from on-premises to cloud platforms
- Automating recurring operational and administrative tasks
- Maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and database inventories
- Participating in change implementation and production support activities
- Collaborating with infrastructure, operating system, network, application, security, and cloud teams
- Participating in the on-call support rotation

Cooperation offered only to candidates with EU citizenship who are located in Poland and willing to commute to offices in Katowice or Gdańsk, Poland. The position requires working within a two-shift schedule (08:00–16:00 and 10:00–18:00) plus rotational on-call duties including weekly and weekend shifts.
