Senior Software Engineer – C#.net and APL

SimCorp is a provider of integrated investment management solutions, with over 3,000 employees and a subsidiary of the Deutsche Börse Group. Following a recent merger with Axioma, it offers a full front-to-back financial technology product suite. The company operates in the FinTech industry, serving investment and asset managers.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or related field
• Solid engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, architecture patterns, clean code, and pragmatic problem-solving
• Strong experience in C#/.NET (Core/Framework) with backend systems development (APIs, services, integrations)
• Familiarity with APIs (REST/streaming) and messaging concepts such as service bus patterns
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and Git workflows
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, handling complex business logic
• Curiosity and willingness to learn APL; prior APL experience not required

Nice to have:

• Experience in FinTech or regulated industries
• Exposure to vector-based or functional programming languages
• Experience with Azure or other cloud services
• Mentoring experience or component ownership

• Design, implement, test, and maintain backend functionality using APL and C#/.NET
• Contribute to component design, code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver relevant functionality
• Improve reliability and delivery through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Investigate technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs to design sustainable solutions
• Share knowledge with colleagues and participate in technical discussions
• Use Git-based workflows effectively in a continuous integration environment
