Critical Environment Technician (CET) - Technik Infrastruktury Krytycznej

Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) maintains critical infrastructure supporting Microsoft's cloud services, operating over 200 datacenters across 32 countries and millions of servers. The CO+I team supports services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English for workplace communication.
• Valid Polish SEP qualification certificate type "E" for electrical operations, valid for 5 years, required at recruitment.
• Willingness and ability to work shift schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and biennially thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:

• High school diploma and documented experience in technical services in high-availability or critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, refineries, hospitals, or pharmaceutical facilities.
• Associate degree, technical trade certification, or equivalent higher education in a technical field.
• Equivalent professional experience.

• Perform assigned basic tasks such as facility rounds, recording building observations, and taking measurements under varying supervision.
• Monitor and inspect critical environment equipment like HVAC and mechanical systems, buildings, and grounds for unsafe or abnormal conditions.
• Learn to operate all systems and associated risks safely and professionally.
• Use computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track equipment and complete maintenance work orders.
• Assist in emergency monitoring and response following emergency operating procedures (EOPs) under supervision.
• Perform planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks per methods of procedure (MOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Document maintenance and troubleshooting tasks and escalate issues when necessary.
• Provide escorts for contractors, vendors, and service providers on site following procedures.
• Follow and enforce safety, security, environmental, and business process requirements including job hazard assessments (JHAs) and toolbox talks.
• Comply with Microsoft culture and values.

This position requires passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check at hire and every two years thereafter. Candidates must present valid Polish SEP qualification certificate type "E".
